St Lucia is the sort of island that travellers to the Caribbean dream about- a small, lush tropical gem that is still relatively unknown. One of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, it is located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St Vincent, and north of Barbados. St Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, with a shape that is said to resemble either a mango or an avocado. The Atlantic is on its eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty to the calm Caribbean Sea.
Almond Smugglers Cove is a premium all-inclusive resort which opened in 2007. It is a spacious, village style resort on a 60-acre estate with tropical gardens in a secluded bay with its own stretch of sandy beach. Almond Smugglers Cove has four gourmet restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and an a la carte dinner. Between them they offer continental cuisine, casual Italian, sea food and a traditional adults-only traditional St. Lucian restaurant. The Great House is a gourmet restaurant located in a grand plantation house and is regarded as on of St. Lucia’s finest dining establishments. It is located adjacent to the main resort and provides another dining option, but it is not included in the Almond all-inclusive programme. There are a choice of bars all serving premium brand drinks, cocktails and soft drinks included in the price of you holiday.
There are 5 freshwater swimming pools, kids club, tennis courts, fitness centre and spa. The stretch of beach has sun loungers and towels are available at the water sports desk.
